Where Ancient Wisdom Meets
Modern Innovation

At Wahupta, we’re revolutionizing agriculture through sustainable innovation, cutting-edge science, and a deep commitment to environmental stewardship. Our breakthrough solutions are transforming farming practices while protecting our planet for future generations.

Our Origins

From within the heart of Turtle Island, where ancient traditions meet modern innovation, Wahupta’s story unfolds. Founded in 2018, our journey began with a vision: to revitalize Indigenous lands through sustainable commerce, starting with the cultivation of hemp. We partnered with First Nations communities, nurturing the land with respect and reverence.

Evolution & Discovery

The soil yielded a less than bountiful hemp harvest, but it led us to a greater discovery – microalgae. This tiny organism showed immense potential to transform agriculture, leading to the development of SmartSoil, our revolutionary metabolite-based soil amendment.

Innovation Rooted in Tradition

Our transition from hemp to SmartSoil wasn’t a departure from our founding principles—it was an evolution. SmartSoil builds upon Indigenous wisdom, mirroring the earth’s innate capacity for renewal. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions from treated soil by 93%, embodying the Indigenous principle of living in harmony with nature.
